There are two posts for educators in the Education Section of the museum. However, both are currently vacant.
Interviews have been held and appointments made. We are currently (October 2007) waiting to hear when the incumbents can take up their posts. Hopefully the posts will be filled on or before 1st January 2008. Until then, we are unfortunately unable to offer lessons in the museum.

Lessons offered to school classes |

The museum's Education Section offers lessons on a variety of subjects to primary school classes. These lessons are enhanced by the impact of the museum objects which the museum educator uses to enhance the lessons. For instance, in a school classroom lesson on elephants and girraffes, one could show pictures of these animals, whereas in the museum the children can experience the actual objects and understand the size and scale.
